UK PM Johnson warns against lifting lockdown, says it will jeopardize NHS staff's efforts

UK's Boris Johnson on April 27 said that there are no immediate plans to lift restrictions as the country is preparing to enter the second phase of outbreak.

Amid growing pressure to anunce ease in coronavirus lockdown in United Kingdom, Prime Minister Boris Johnson on April 27 said that re are immediate plans to lift restrictions as country is preparing to enter second phase of COVID-19 outbreak. Johnson while dressing media, said that months of efforts put in by National Health Service (NHS) workers will be jeopardized if lockdown is revoked before time. Johnson said, "I can see long term consequences of lockdown. It's Government's urgency. But we must also recognise risk of a second spike."

British Junior Health Minister Edward Arga also reiterated Johnson's concern and said w is t time to lift restrictions in country because lockdown is proving to be effective and relaxation would mean defiance of science on this. Many countries across Europe have started to ease coronavirus lockdown, relaxing some rules that were introduced to curb pandemic.
