UK: Claire Foy and Matt Smith return to The Old Vic

"The Crown" stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith have been preparing for a run of socially distanced live-streamed performances at London's Old Vic theatre.

They are acting in Duncan MacMillan's "Lungs", a production directed by Matthew Warchus.

The performances, set to begin on Friday, are meant to boost the theatre's finances as its usual ticket sales and revenue have been depleted due to COVID-19.

Each performance of "Lungs" and the other scheduled play readings in the series will be available for over 1,000 households per night.

There will also be matinees. Tickets will be priced as they are for in-person performances.

"Lungs" runs through July 4.
