A four-star hotel in Spain's Canary Islands has been quarantined after an Italian guest staying re was tested positive for coronavirus. According to reports, Italian man and his wife both tested positive for COVID-19 after husband who h a fever for six days went to a clinic for a check-up. hotel which has around 500 rooms was quarantined with nearly 1,000 guests still re, Spanish media reported.

As per reports, an official from town of eje said that hotel is in quarantine and guests are being told to stay in ir rooms. eje is popular with British tourists and one UK citizen staying in hotel told press that holiday is turning from heaven to hell as y h been told to stay indoors without proper connectivity and food since y arrived on Sunday. Ar British citizen whose wife is pregnant said y have t been given any information or than a piece of paper from under door.

According to reports, guests were given a te by hotel staff informing m that hotel was closed down due to health reasons and also vising m to stay in ir rooms until sanitary authorities warn. recent development came after Spanish officials confirmed a woman, who recently travelled to rrn Italy, has tested positive for virus in Barcelona. rrn Italy has been most affected region in Europe with over 280 confirmed coronavirus cases.
