Amy Doran, the owner of a stolen 20-year-old former Blackpool donkey, pleaded for his safe return and warned that he could die of heartbreak. The plea comes after Winston was reportedly stolen from a field near Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, on December 9. The family had bought both Winston and his companion Rudy when they moved to Wales from Kent. Amy mentioned that Rudy is "pining" and issued a warning about the potential for donkeys to die of separation. Winston disappeared from a field in Taliaris while Amy and her family were away for the weekend.
Bella asks 'Santa' to bring back her donkey
Amy expressed her fear that someone had taken the "very trusting, elderly donkey" for a nativity play or a similar event. Amy mentioned that the person who stole him probably didn't realize that donkeys can die from separation and a broken heart. She emphasized the potential after-effects. Bella, Amy's four-year-old daughter, issued a photo appeal with the caption: "Dear Santa, this Christmas please bring my donkey home." Amy conveyed that her daughters, Bella and Gracie, three, were "absolutely devastated" by the theft of their much-loved family pet. She stated that she didn't care if somebody dumped him in a field; all she cared about was getting him back.
