'French Spiderman' banned from climbing UK buildings after scaling London's tallest skyscraper. Here's why
The 56-year-old daredevil, known as “the French Spiderman" is a former rock climber. Alain says his passion for climbing began in childhood when he spent his times climbing cliffs in the gorges of southwestern France.

French urban climber Alain Robert has been banned from climbing any building in UK after scaling one of London’s tallest skyscrapers without ropes — and without permission. Alain Robert climbed 662-foot (202-meter) Heron Tower in City of London on Thursday, forcing police to set up a safety cordon and stop traffic in area.
Mr. Robert reached top of building in around 45 minutes, however, he was arrested immediately after that. When Mr. Robert was arrested at top of tower he immediately handed his passport and number of his lawyer to officers.

He appeared in a London court on Friday where 56-year-old was sentenced to 20-week suspended sentence and ordered to pay £5,500 compensation to City of London Police after he pleed guilty to causing a public nuisance.

Before Thursday’s climb, Alain Robert h told reporters that “I fully feel alive when my life is at stake.”
Who is Alain Roberts, 'French Spiderman'?
56-year-old daredevil, kwn as “ French Spiderman" is a former rock climber. Born on 7 August 1962 in Digoin, Alain says his passion began in childhood when he spent his times climbing cliffs in gorges of southwestern France. Frenchman turned his attention to skyscrapers in mid-1990s.

What buildings has he climbed?
Robert stated that his biggest achievement was to climb Burj Khalifa. His last London climb was Portland Tower in 2007 and he said he only thought of climbing Heron Tower after seeing some pictures of it two days ago.
