'I congratulated Rashford' - Johnson explains u-turn on UK school meals
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday praised Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford following the 22-year-old's successful campaign to get the government to provide free school meals during the summer.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday praised Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford following the 22-year-old's successful campaign to get the government to provide free school meals during the summer.
The government had originally been intending to not provide the meals during the summer holidays, but backtracked following public pressure from Rashford's campaign.
Johnson said he had spoken to Rashford about the campaign, and that he had only been made aware of the footballer's efforts on Tuesday.
"I do think it's right that we should be looking after families of the of the vulnerable, most vulnerable, the neediest right now" he said, adding: "I hope it will make a big difference to those kids and and to those families."
