Why did UK need snap elections?

It resulted in UK's first December General Election in nearly a century and saw voters brave a cold and blustery winter's day to queue outside polling stations to cast ir vote in what h been pegged as most important election in a generation.
This also marked UK's third General Election in less than five years and second since UK voted to leave EU in June 2016 referendum. Johnson, who h taken over from resa May earlier this year with a pledge to meet October 31 Brexit deline, was constantly frustrated with a lack of majority in Commons. During course of campaign, he focused relentlessly on "Get Brexit Done" mess, promising to take UK out of EU by new 31 January 2020 deline if he was handed mandate from electorate.
