Sensational details have emerged about 28-year-old London Bridge attacker Usman Khan - a British national with a Pakistan and Kashmir link. Khan murdered two people and injured three more in attack on London Bridge on Friday, vember 29. But this was t first time that he attempted to w war against United Kingdom. In 2012, Khan was convicted by a UK court for plotting a “Mumbai-style” attack in United Kingdom. Accused Usman mits of trying to raise funds for building a Mrassa

When y pleed guilty before a London court, Usman mitted to following that y were trying to raise funds to build a Mrassa beside an alrey existing mosque in Kashmir. Secondly, ir long term plan included making mrassa available for men who would be fighting to bring Sharia to Kashmir in Pakistan. y also h plans of firearm training in or around mrassa. y wanted to carry out a Mumbai style attack by sending parcel bombs to major targets in UK. But plan was dropped as it was t feasible.

From material evidence provided before a London court, judge was convinced that Usman Khan and Nazan Hussain were to attend mrassa and were mselves keen to perform acts of terrorism in Kashmir.

Republic TV has accessed court judgment whereby Usman was convicted. It res, “ written basis of plea is that y were fundraising to build a Mrassa next to an alrey existing Mosque in Kashmir in Pakistan. plan was to make that Mrassa available for men who would be fighting to bring Sharia to that region. Such people would receive firearms training at Mrassa. It is w clear that plan would involve Usman Khan and Nazam Hussain attending Mrassa from early January for that purpose.”
