Mountain rescuers save 'idiots' who went on a hike without equipment amid Storm Ciara

Mountain rescuers from the Lochaber Mountain Rescue spent four hours in -20 degrees chill amid storm Ciara on the peak trying to save a poorly equipped group.

A group of hikers has reportedly been branded 'four idiots' by team of rescuers who risked ir lives to save m from top of mountain Ben Nevis, British Isles in harsh and life-threatening conditions during storm Ciara in UK. mountaineers h reportedly trapped mselves in deathly winds and icy chill temperatures that dipped to -20 degrees Celsius wearing trainers without proper equipment amid severe storm and gutsy cold winds, as per reports.

As many as 22 rescuers from Lochaber Mountain Rescue reportedly spent four hours in storm like horrifying conditions on peak trying to get group off mountain safely somehow. According to reports y were rescued at 441ft height of summit on UK Coastguard rescue helicopter as y sat stranded in sw shivering.

Speaking about incident to reporters, John Stevenson, leer of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, said that hikers were absolute ‘idiots’. y were all wearing trainers and h decided to walk up Ben Nevis inste of climbing in those harsh conditions. y were just plain stupid, he ded.

Poorly equipped and shivering

John furr ded that hikers’ stupidity went as far as right up re for rescuers to risk ir lives. He said that fact that se mountaineers were just casually walking up dangerous summit and me it down alive depicts that y are lucky. y were poorly equipped for any wear let alone conditions on ben Nevis, he told reporters.

He said that his team found m first, n ors and walked m down. It was so b that helicopter could t even fly back to Inverness, let alone up mountain. He furr ded that guys were in ir 20s, based in Glasgow, didn't have a scooby, it was mdening, and y are ill from cold.

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team's posted about incident on ir Facebook p and users were shocked to kw that guys survived out of horrendous storm and blizzard conditions during on a summit with temperature -20 degrees.
