Nurse who got first shot hopes to 'inspire' others
Lindsay, who works at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens and volunteered to get the shot, said it was important for her to lead by example

New York nurse who was given state's first coronavirus vaccine on Monday says she hopes to inspire ors to get shot and to trust science.
Speaking on ABC News Tuesday, critical care nurse Sandra Lindsay said injection was minimally painful and she was "feeling great."

"I alrey have people coming to me or emailing me, texting me to say how much I have inspired m to take vaccine. So, that was my reason. And I hope that just continues to resonate with more people," she told Good Morning America host Robin Roberts.
Lindsay, who works at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens and volunteered to get shot, said it was important for her to le by example.

"It was incredibly important for me to le by example like I do every day," she said.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has said his state is focused on vaccinating front line health care workers first.
