Patient describes recovery on same ward as UK PM

Hunt spent 10 days at St Thomas' Hospital with COVID-19, four of which he spent in the same intensive care unit as the British Prime Minister.

A 38-year-old British man has spoken of his experience of being treated for the coronavirus and being in the same intensive care ward as UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

"I called my brother, told him my password, where my will was," David Hunt told British broadcaster Sky News.Tearing up, he described seeing a man beside him taking his final breaths.

According to Sky News, Hunt spent 10 days at St Thomas' Hospital with COVID-19, four of which he spent in the same intensive care unit as the British Prime Minister.Hunt also praised the staff at the hospital, saying "I take my hat off to all of them because without them, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be here."

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as a fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.For some, especially older adults and people, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and can be fatal.On Thursday the UK reported 65,077 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 7,978 deaths.
