Regulators have issued new guidelines regarding vaccination, warning people with a history of allergic reactions to not take the Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.

In United Kingdom, regulators have issued new guidelines regarding COVID-19 vaccination, warning people with a history of significant allergic reactions to t take Pfizer vaccine. This comes after two recipients reported allergies following being iculated as part of vaccination drive started in country on Tuesday. two recipients are health care professionals working with National Health Services (NHS) and fall under category prioritised by UK government.

NHS medical director Professor Stephen Powis said that two patients are recovering well. chief executive of UK regulatory body informed lawmakers about two cases and said that allergies were t reported during extensive trial of vaccine before approval. Pfizer and BioNTech have said that y are in touch with NHS and are looking into each case individually to identify cause. document published by two companies also suggested that allergic people were t included in trials.

UK approves COVID-19 vaccine

British regulators approved Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine on December 2, making way for first vaccination drive in West. UK has set-up over 50 vaccination centres across country and has also issued guidance for health practitioners about coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination programme. High-risk groups including doctors and or frontline workers have been prioritised for vaccination drive that is being run by National Health Service (NHS).

People with underlying health conditions, children, and pregnant women have been left out of vaccination drive in United Kingdom due to data on safety of COVID-19 vaccines on se groups. government has reportedly received 8,00,000 doses of Pfizer's vaccine, which should be eugh for 4,00,000 people given two-dose process recommended by firm. As per reports, UK is expected to receive additional doses of vaccine by end of this year.
