A lone doctor held a protest outside Downing Street on Sunday to highlight the lack of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) available to staff working for the UK's National Health Service (NHS.)
Dr Meenal Viz, a Junior Clinical Fellow with the NHS, said she was demonstrating for vulnerable members of staff who she said were "not being taken care of" due to a shortage of PPE in the health service.

The protest comes after the death of Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong, a nurse working in Luton, near London, who died after contracting the virus.
Agyapong was pregnant when she died, with her baby being delivered by emergency Caesarean operation.

"The government should have been prepared a long time ago and that's why we are in this position now", Viz said.
So far the U.K. has 115,317 people infected with the virus, with 15,498 deaths, according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.
