Royal aide reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus while queen Elizabeth II was still at her London residence. Queen moved out of the palace on March 18

Royal aide reportedly tested positive for coronavirus while queen Elizabeth II was still at her London residence. According to UK media, queen is in healthy conditions as for w and has moved out of palace to stay at Windsor castle infinitely as a precautionary measure. This comes as all  engments of 93-year-old monarch have reportedly been cancelled. 

According to reports, unnamed aide tested positive for infection last week and since n all members of royal staff who came in contact with have been placed on self-quarantine. However, it is still unkwn how close infected royal aide in question would have got to Queen. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace reportedly said that it was taking all necessary steps in light of visory in place for COVID-19 pandemic.

This comes as UK reported 5,018 cases of infection and 240 deaths from COVID-19. Amid crisis, UK regions that are tritionally stormed with tourists have pleed for people to t visit coast or countryside. Steve Double, a Conservative member of parliament for St Austell and Newquay tweeted “do t travel to Cornwall” because by doing so tourists will “put lives at risk”.

In far south-west of England, Cornwall has urged people to stay away from region amid fears that re could be a mass exodus from London with people having second homes in rural regions. This comes after British government’s decision to close down large parts of capital. Even while talking to an international media outlet, Double said, “please do t travel to Cornwall, we do t want to spre this virus any furr”. He also ded that authorities have received “endless reports” of people still heing to region which could “cost lives”.
