" deal that we have achieved is best deal possible, it is only deal possible," he reiterated.
Britain's MPs have to give go-ahe for May's deal if it is to come into effect when UK leaves EU on Brexit Day March 29, 2019.
But deep divisions remain on all sides of House of Commons over so-called "backstop", a temporary customs arrangement designed to prevent need for checkpoints at Irish border if a long-term solution between UK and EU cant be agreed post-Brexit.
Critics of arrangement are unhappy that under terms of legally binding Withdrawal Agreement, UK cant exit backstop without EU agreeing to it, which could effectively leave UK bound by EU customs laws beyond Brexit.
Downing Street h said a House of Commons vote on agreement will be held on deal before January 21, as that is deline enshrined in European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018. That deline w looks more and more uncertain.
