With much of the United Kingdom now off limits to European travellers and locals wanting to return home, a small part of Britain is still managing to make its way through to Europe despite the coronavirus restrictions. Just a stone's throw from the European quarter in Brussels, a British butcher secured a delivery of poultry just in time for Christmas.
"We're incredibly lucky for the food situation," said Julia Craig-McQuaide, owner of Wesley's Butcher Shop. Craig-McQuaide received her order of 110 turkeys and 35 geese from the United Kingdom on Monday. Wesley's Butcher Shop also imports its Irish lamb and beef through the UK.
