UK choir sings with residents in social distancing
A choir in Manchester sang with people on a residential street on Wednesday evening while practising social distancing as part virus measures in the UK.

The Soul Inspiration choir meeting was unable to run its regular meeting after the UK government advised against close social contact - so they took the meeting to the streets.

Choir organisers Kadria Thomas and Louise Kay invited members to drive to a street in Oldham, where residents joined the choir.
Families stood together in groups, keeping their distance from other households.

At least 137 people have died from 2,689 confirmed cases of the virus in the UK.
For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.
The vast majority of people recover from the new virus.

According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe illness may take three to six weeks to recover.
