There she was placed into a coma and intubated. She spent two weeks fighting for her life and Tommy was told to prepare for the worst, British broadcaster Sky News reported. "It was terrifying, the most terrifying thing I've been through in my life," Tommy said recalling the heartbreaking moment.

"Being told potentially to say your last goodbyes to your other half and to your baby as well, is you know, your world comes crashing down." The decision was later made to deliver the couple's baby by emergency C-section - two months before the due date.
