UK-EU to begin ninth and final round of post-Brexit negotiations on Sept 29
The UK and the European Union, on September 29, will formally begin the ninth and final round of talks on a post-Brexit free trade treaty in Brussels.

United Kingdom and European Union, on September 29, will formally begin ninth and final round of talks on a post-Brexit free tre treaty in Brussels. While 11-month transition period is about to end, UK and EU have been struggling to reach a post-Brexit agreement. According to nda released by British government, upcoming negotiations will w focus on fishery, so-called level playing field for open and fair competition, horizontal arrangement and governance and law enforcement and judicial cooperation.
Both parties have been crossing swords over UK government’s plans to override parts of withdrawal agreement. Earlier this week, UK Brexit Minister Michael Gove also met with EU Commission Vice President Maros Sefcovic, but only to confirm that a -deal Brexit has never been so close.

While speaking to media reporters, Sefcovic has said that EU will t be one to call an end to negotiations on future partnership. However, he also warned that bloc would use legal mechanisms within Brexit agreement if UK does t remove by Wednesday clauses in Internal market Bill that violate both letter of treaty and international law.

Gove, on or hand, said that British government will t back down and would continue seeking pass of controversial proposal in Parliament, after it passed its first reing in House of Commons on September 15. While referring to bill that would roll back some of state aid and customs commitments that London me in rrn Ireland protocol, Gove said, “But those clauses are re, y're in legislation supported by House of Common as a safety net if need be and those clauses will remain in that Bill”.

UK er to enter ‘tunnel’ negotiations
Meanwhile, British government is er to enter intensive “tunnel” negotiations which permit both EU and UK to be creative with a reliable solution to most inflexible problems before leers’ summit on October 15. Brussels, however, is t convinced that Johnson has received backing of his colleagues to commit to future negotiations.
Britain is in an 11-month transition period with 27-nation-bloc after exiting union on January 31. UK and EU h begun tre negotiations in March after being halted due to coronavirus outbreak and it would set frame for future relationship between both sides after December 31. However, t much progress has been me in talks.
