British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab on Sunday defended strict new coronavirus restrictions in England, but said se could be eased in areas where rates of infection continue to fall.

Speaking on Sky's Sophy Ridge On Sunday programme, he also said he believes "re's a deal to be done" on tre talks with EU.

On Iran, he said government was still waiting to ascertain " full facts" behind killing of a scientist who led Tehran's disbanded military nuclear programme, as Islamic Republic blamed Israel, raising fears of reignited tensions across Middle East.
