UK PM Boris Johnson to convince MPs again for early elections

The UK PM Boris Johnson will push the members of the Parliament again for conducting general elections for Brexit even after the lawmakers rejected the plan.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will push members of Parliament again on October 29 for conducting general elections in December even after lawmakers rejected his plan. PM Johnson had to face yet ar setback on Britain's divorce from European Union when EU leaders agreed to House of Commons' demand to extend Brexit deadline till January 31, 2020. In recent turn of events, UK PM had also said that he would rar be 'dead in a ditch' than extend divorce process which was started way back in 2016 by EU referendum.

EU on Brexit delay

European Council chief Donald Tusk confirmed on October 28 that 27-nation bloc has agreed to accept Britain’s request to extend Brexit deadline till January 31, 2020. “ decision is expected to be formalised through a written procedure,” said Tusk.  Earlier he even said that on a phone call with PM Johnson Tusk had justified his reasons to back delay for Britain's exit. UK leader had paused Parliamentary session on October 22 and threatened to start  general elections after withdrawing bill completely.

Johnson wants a new Parliament

British PM said that he was ready to give more time to UK lawmakers in order to review European Union Withdrawal Bill on condition that y agreed to hold general elections on December 12. Johnson wrote to Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn saying that eir Parliament should get Brexit done or a new Parliament should be elected. On October 17, Johnson and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker confirmed new Brexit deal as latter shared a letter written to Donald Tusk. In a tweet, Juncker said, “Where re is a will, re is a deal.”
