UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday, November 27, said he shared the public's frustrations as he defended the government's decision to introduce a tougher virus tiering system for towns and cities across England. His remarks come as the country reported over 1.,5878,437 cases and over 57 thousand fatalities due to coronavirus since the outbreak in the country.
The government has faced a backlash from MPs and communities over its new COVID tiering system which has placed some regions under tougher restrictions than before the national lockdown - even if some areas within the region are showing low rates of infection.
