UK to send 350 more soldiers to Poland as tensions rise between Russia & Ukraine
United Kingdom Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has announced that Britain will be sending 350 more troops to Poland amid tensions between Ukraine and Russia.

UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has anunced that Britain will be sending 350 more troops to Poland amid tensions between Ukraine and Russia. Wallace made anuncement during his press conference with Poland Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak. UK government in vember had sent 100 troops to Poland during country’s border tensions with Belarus. This comes as UK Defence Secretary and his Poland counterpart held talks on response to Russian troops build-up near Ukraine border.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, UK Defence Ministry informed about meeting and mentioned that two leaders had a discussion over impact of presence of Russian troops near Ukraine border on European security. During press conference, Wallace stated that y will be sending furr 350 British troops to Poland in addition to 100 Royal Engineers already in country in “spirit of solidarity,” Independent reported. Wallace highlighted decision to send more troops to Poland comes in “helping each or’s challenges of resiliences” and emphasizsd that bilateral deployment showcases that y can work toger.

Wallace asserted decision sends a “strong signal” that both countries can “stand side by side.” In response to anuncement made by UK, Poland thanked UK Defence Secretary for proposal. US soldiers arrive in Poland
A plane carrying American soldiers arrived in souastern Poland near Ukraine border on Sunday, according to AP. development comes after US President Joe Biden ordered deployment of 1,700 soldiers as tensions continue to rise between Russia and Ukraine. Hundreds of infantry troops of 82nd Airborne Division are expected to land at Rzeszow-Jasionka airport which is situated near Poland’s border with Ukraine. Major General Christopher Donahue, who was last American soldier to leave after troops withdrawal in Afghanistan is commander of force. As per AP report, Poland Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak praised deployment of US troops as best response to Russia’s aggressive policy.
