UK: Two students plan to visit every Greggs store in the country

Two British students, Tom and Milo, took a decision in 2018 to visit every Greggs store in the United Kingdom to try out the famous steak bake or the sausage roll. According to the stores' yearly report, it has a total of 1,950 stores with the corporate website suggesting their plan to have a total of 2,500 stores very soon. 

A country-wide idea to treat their taste buds

One of the students, Tom, said Greggs has always been a store that has been termed as something sacred and defining in the UK. He further added that both him and Milo came up with the "viral" idea to pay a visit to all the Greggs outlets in the summer of 2018 before calculating the total cost they would have to shell out out of their pockets and realized that they would have to visit 5 outlets in a single day to complete their journey in one year and will have to spend a total of £2,000. 

Tom further added that both of them decided to write lengthy reviews whenever they visited Greggs around Britain. The student duo has attracted more than 1,000 followers on social media platforms, Instagram.

An attempt to hire like-minded people

He also said that they have already written reviews of 30 different Greggs joints and are on the lookout for like-minded people who can help them out on their endeavour. Tom said that they were looking to recruit people who have good work ethics and the reviews given out by them are unbiased in every way and reliable as well.

Speaking to a local media outlet, Tom said that the best thing to try out at Greggs is the sausage roll and for dessert, his personal recommendation was the sugar-strand doughnut. He also said that Greggs steak bake is also a delicacy that people should try out and treat their taste buds.
