Ukraine's capital Kiev shuts schools, colleges and mass events amid coronavirus scare
The Mayor of Kiev, Ukraine, on March 11 reportedly announced that the schools and colleges in the city will remain close until the end of this month.

Mayor of Kiev, Ukraine, on March 11 reportedly anunced that schools and colleges in city will remain closed until end of this month in a bid to prevent spre of vel coronavirus. He ded that city would also restrict mass events in capital, including concerts and conferences. Furrmore, cinemas and entertainment areas in shopping malls will also remain shut.
Earlier this month, Ukraine anunced its first confirmed coronavirus case. As per reports, unnamed man h travelled from Italy to Romania by plane and n arrived in Ukraine by car. man was hospitalised on February 29 after he h developed a fever and dry cough.

Ukraine has been preparing for arrival of epidemic. According to international media reports, health ministry has designated a hospital in each of country's 24 regions to deal with infection, and seven more in capital Kiev. Furrmore, an Emergencies Services helicopter has been equipped for transportation of infected people. country has also staffed hospitals with Ukrainian doctors who worked on West Africa's Ebola epidemic and it is rey to mit 2,500 patients to allotted hospital.
Ukraine's border service has been screening all people arriving and health ministry has also set up a specialised website with up-to-date information on dely virus. In a bid to prevent spre of virus, country has suspended several flights to China and some airlines have anunced that y will reduce number of flights to Italy.
