UN agencies raise concern over 'Complex Emergency' unfolding in Mozambique
United Nations agencies have raised concern at the condition of the people of Northern Mozambique. The people have now sought refuge in the Pemba town.

As per reports, y have warned that displaced people have been starving and y are having health issues due to conflict and protection crisis. Thousands of people have been displaced by rebel attack in rrn Mozambique.
Refugees traumatised by attack
people have w sought refuge in Pemba town and some of people have also been separated from ir families. refugees who have fled to Palma in Cabo Delgo have shared stories of horrific attacks by militants who reportedly killed dozens of people. he of UN refugee ncy Margarida Loureiro said that people arriving in shelter h been "exhausted" by ir experiences.

y are highly traumatised by what y have seen, by what y have experienced, seeing ir families, ir friends being killed, seeing ir houses being completely destroyed.
director of emergencies for UN Children's fund Manual Fontaine said that people have been traumatised by violence. As per reports, y were forced to flee in middle of night and some of m have also separated from ir families. He also shared an incident about how a husband of a young pregnant woman was killed in front of her. He ded that re have been stories of kidnapping and -based violence reported in region.

UN ncies seek help
UNICEF has also raised alarm over malnutrition among displaced children in Cabo Delgo. As per reports, ncy has appealed for $52.8 million for Mozambique this year. Also, $30 million of that amount targeted for Cabo Delgo. y have furr mentioned that only 37 percent of appeal is funded and y have asked for international support for humanitarian work. World Food Program is seeking $82 million for food aid in rrn Mozambique.
