A World Health Organisation-led international team is all set to leave for China to investigate coronavirus outbreak, said WHO chief Tedros ham Ghebreyesus. According to media reports, investigating team will leave for China on Monday or on Tuesday. When asked wher team would include experts from United States Center for Disease Control (CDC), Pedros said, "We hope so".

Dr. Mike Ryan, WHO's top emergency expert, while talking to press said that re has been a stabilisation in number of cases reported in Hubei province of China in past four days. However, Ryan furr ded that decline should t be taken as containment of disease as situation can accelerate quickly.

official death toll in mainland China for coronavirus has surpassed 774 deaths recorded globally during 2002-2003 outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

According to latest media reports, outbreak of dely coronavirus has claimed more than 800 lives in China alone and confirmed reported cases have reached up to 34,000 as of February 8. disease is believed to have originated in a seafood market in Hubei's Wuhan city, epicentre of coronavirus outbreak, where animals were reportedly being tred illegally. As per US CDC, confirmed cases of virus have been reported in 27 or countries, including France, United Kingdom, and Japan.

China is battling outbreak quite effectively as it has recently built an emergency hospital in Wuhan with an estimated capacity of 1,000 beds. hospital was reportedly built under a record time of just eight days. China is also building ar hospital in city with a capacity of 1,600 beds as country is facing a short of beds for patients affected by dely disease.
