UN HRC chief Bachelet on Venezuela and Crimea

UN Human Rights High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet on Thursday decried human violations in Venezuela, and expressed her concern about the high numbers of deaths of young people at the hands of security forces.

UN Human Rights High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet on Thursday decried human violations in Venezuela, and expressed her concern about high numbers of deaths of young people at hands of security forces.

She was speaking during 44th session of UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Bachelet also detailed report mandated by UN general Assembly about Crimea, expressing concern about human rights violations involving torture and or ill-treatment perpetrated by law enforcement ncies.

She pointed out that on cases that reached courts, " perpetrator was held accountable" to date.

She ded that  her office will continue to monitor human rights situation in Crimea, and is rey eng with Russian Federation, as occupying power, as well as with Ukraine to strengn protection of human rights.
