UNGA: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina reaches NY to attend 74th session
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached New York on Monday to attend the 74th session of UNGA and will address the UNGA session on September 27.

Banglesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached New York on Monday to attend 74th session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Banglesh Ambassor to United States Mohamm Ziauddin and Permanent Representative of Banglesh to United Nations Masud Bin Momen welcomed Prime Minister at Airport. A Dhaka daily reported that Hasina will deliver her dress at UNGA on September 27.

Hasina to be part of India's event at UN
According to Foreign Secretary of India, Vijay Gokhale, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be joined by Sheikh Hasina on September 24 at an event organized by India in UN to commemorate 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. event titled ‘Leership Matters – Relevance of Gandhi in Contemporary Times’ will be attended by several Hes of States including Hasina, where y will also express relevance of Gandhi in contemporary times in ir own world. event will include launch of Gandhi Solar Park which is installation of solar panels on rooftop of UN hequarters. Remote inauguration of Gandhi Peace Garden at State University of New York Campus at Old Westbury will also be part of event.

Kashmir and Rohingya during bilateral talks
Hasina is on an eight-day official visit to US. India's permanent representative to UN, Syed Akbaruddin h earlier responded to question of wher issue of Kashmir or Rohingya would come up for discussions during Prime Minister Modi’s bilateral talks with Banglesh PM on sideline of UNGA. "Each country will have its specific element. As close friends and neighbours, we will be discussing what issues are being raised because this is way we deal with our, neighbours," said Akbaruddin. He h termed Banglesh as one of India’s close friends in neighbourhood.

Banglesh PM to visit India in October
Hasina is also scheduled to visit India in October to attend India Ecomic Summit of World Ecomic Forum (WEF). After Summit, PM Modi and Hasina will hold bilateral talks on October 5. Teesta water-sharing agreement has been of unresolved issue between two countries and Bangleshi Prime Minister was hopeful that it will be resolved soon. "We are optimistic that unresolved issues between two countries will be sorted out soon. We hope we will get positive results over aforesaid issues before my visit to India," Hasina h told Parliament on September 12.
