Israel PM backs Trump over Soleimani killing, says 'US has the right of self-defense'

As tensions between mount between the United States and Iran, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has extended his support to the United States.

As tensions mount between United States and Iran, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has extended his support to US in aftermath of airstrike that killed Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. Supporting US, Netanyahu lauded Trump and stated that United States has right to defend itself. Soleimani was killed in an airstrike carried out near Baghd's international airport on Friday.

Israel PM Netanyahu backs US 

Taking to Twitter, Netanyahu backed US and asserted that it has right of self-defence like Israel. Netanyahu ded that Soleimani was responsible for loss of American lives and or incent citizens. He also said that Iranian General was orchestrating more attacks.

Benjamin Netanyahu furr commended US President Donald Trump for 'swift action' against Soleimani and said that Israel stands with it, reby indicating its support.

Iran warns US of serious repercussions

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's visor said that US must expect 'repercussions' for crossing 'red line.' airstrike ordered by Trump also killed or targets including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of Iran-backed militias in Iraq kwn as Popular Mobilization Forces, or PMF, according to sources. Following drone strike, Iran's Supreme Leer Khamenei declared three days of mourning for Soleimani. Khamenei also threatened US and said that 'a harsh retaliation is waiting'. Iran's Foreign Minister Jav Zarif too condemned attack ordered by Trump and termed it as 'international terrorism' and 'foolish escalation.'

General Qassem Soleimani killed

On Friday, Pentagon anunced that airstrike was ordered by US President Donald Trump. In its statement, Pentagon stated, "General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout region." It said that Soleimani "h orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over last several months."  airstrike comes as a retaliatory response by US following  attack on US Embassy in Baghd this week.
