US may move troops to Poland from other Europe nations amidst threat

According to reports, The United States is likely to move some troops to Poland from elsewhere in Europe, US President Donald Trump said on September 23 as he and Polish President Andrzej Duda met. He also said that Poland will build houses for troops to station them in the country as reports of Russian aggression grow and top Polish politicians voice similar concerns about a threat even as Russians deny any attempt to transgress or attacking any country in the eastern part of Europe.

Troop Mobilization likely soon 

As per reports, Donald Trump during a meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda said that troop mobilization will happen soon to Poland from different regions of Europe under a declaration which both countries signed named 'Advancing defense cooperation' which was signed by government officials from Poland and United States. Trump also revealed that Poland will build facilities to station and house the troops. He further said, reportedly, that Poland now qualifies for a US visa waiver program and that he will reschedule a pending Poland trip very soon. He stated that Probably they will be relocating troops from other European nations and shall not be sending new ones. When posed a question whether the move to send a thousand troops to Poland was a means to counter Russia, Trump denied it.

Backdrop 

Reports suggest that Poland has been asserting its wish to have more US troops on its soil which explain as to why top Polish politicians are making statements about a potential Russian hostility. Meanwhile, Russia has reiterated several times that it does not intend to attack either Poland or any other country in Eastern Europe and hitting out that Poland's US troops- evoking acts as a key destabilizing factor.
