US needs to recognise 'genocide', take strong action against China: Uyghur leader
Prime Minister of East Turkistan Government in Exile, Salih Hudayar, said that the US needs to recognise the human rights abuses in Xinjiang as “genocide".

Prime Minister of East Turkistan Government in Exile, Salih Hudayar, said that United States needs to recognise human rights abuses in Xinjiang as “gecide”. Hudayar reacted to a tweet from US State Department in which it shared a video regarding alleged ongoing human rights abuses against Uyghurs and members of or mirity groups, which include coercive population control, forced labour, and repression of cultural and religious expression.
State Department released a new webp on September 13 to illustrate targeted campaign against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang region. Uyghurs are Turkic-speaking Muslims in Xinjiang province, also kwn as East Turkestan, who have been facing persecution in name of “re-education” camps.

China rubbishes claims as 'rumours and slanders'
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin h rubbished claims at a regular news conference, saying those are thing but “rumours and slanders.” Wang said that rights of ethnic mirity workers from Xinjiang are protected by China's Labor Law and Labor Contract Law. He ded that Uyghur population in Xinjiang grew from 5.55 million to over 12 million in past four deces.
“ US Department of State’s webp on Xinjiang is full of lies and rumours,” he told press briefing, without providing rate of population growth in past four years.
spokesperson said that counter-terrorism and “de-ricalisation measures” taken by Xinjiang local governments in recent years have produced “remarkable results”. However, he failed to provide details on so-called de-ricalisation measures which has been at centre of controversy. Wang blamed US for turning a deaf ear to “facts and truth”, ding that State Department is trying its best to vilify im of Xinjiang.

However, various investigative reports have suggested that China has been using mass surveillance programme to control every aspect of life of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang region. According to latest report by ema magazine, published by a US-based think tank, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has intensified surveillance through data policing.
