US Senate report suggests US-EU partnership to ensure international system sticks to its values amid China's growing aggression among other things

According to a report by chairman of US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, US and European Union (EU) must mull over ways to ensure that international system sticks to its values amid China's unfair trade practices, murky investment and political interference. report states that US and EU have 'very different visions' of world as compared to China. This comes just weeks before Joe Biden is set to take over US administration which experts believe will change things for China's ecomy as y expect Democrat President may impose sanctions. 

US Senate report titled 'A Concrete nda for Transatlantic Cooperation on China' read, " United States and Europe on one hand, and China on or, have very different visions of what world should look like. This competition of ideas and of systems touches on our political and cultural values, our ecomic prosperity, and our security."

"As a result of region’s growing ecomic and political weight, opportunities presented by robust alliances and partnerships, and China’s more assertive and coercive regional posture, United States has determined that Indo-Pacific is a top foreign policy priority," it furr adds.

This report comes amid China's growing aggression in Indo-pacific region while tensions continue to rise over Hong Kong security legislation issue, trade, Beijing's military aggression as well as COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
