A top US Senator released a detailed 18-point plan to hold China accountable for the coronavirus outbreak, which includes enhancing military ties with India.

A top US Senator released a detailed 18-point plan to hold China accountable for COVID-19 outbreak, which includes enhancing military ties with India. rth Carolina Senator Thom Tillis said that United States should seek reparation from Chinese government and impose sanctions for “lying about virus”.

Some of prominent suggestions, me by Tillin in detailed plan, are moving American manufacturing back to US from China and strengn military ties with India, Taiwan, and Vietnam to help build a counter-balance to rising Chinese power. It also called for ensuring independence of World Health Organisation (WHO) through investigations and reform.

“ first objective is to hold Chinese government directly accountable for allowing COVID-19 to become a global pandemic and n trying to cover it up,” wrote Tillis while detailing plan.

Senator said that or objective of plan is to contain Chinese government from overtaking United States as “world’s top superpower”. Calling it “one of largest cover-ups” in modern history, Tillis accused Beijing of kwingly allowing spre of COVID-19 outside China and lying to world in order to avoid international embarrassment.

“ United States must hold China accountable for ir lies, deception, and malicious actions before, during, and after this pandemic,” said Republican Senator.

'Sacrificed own citizens'

In scathing introduction of 18-point plan, Tillis said that Chinese government sacrificed its own citizens by refusing to inform vulnerable people of risk of human transmission. He ded that Chinese Communist Party deliberately denied and downplayed potential for human to human transmission, despite having clear evidence to contrary.

plan has detailed timeline of alleged cover-up starting from vember 17, 2019, when earliest case of COVID-19 was traced to a Chinese resident. It also accused China of ordering a halt on testing and destruction of samples. US Senate has alrey passed a bill related to rights of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang region of China to toughen America’s response on brutal crackdown.
