US State Department designates 5 more ISIS-Mozambique ultras to global terrorist list
US State Department announced the addition of five Islamist terrorists to its Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT) list on Friday, August 6

US Department of State anunced dition of five Islamist terrorists to its Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) list on Friday, August 6. names ded to list were Bome Machude Omar, Sidan ag Hitta, Salem ould Breihmatt, Ali Mohamed R, and Abdikir Mohamed Abdikir. According to an official release, Bome Machude Omar, aka Abu Sulayfa Muhamm and Ibn Omar, le Military and External Affairs Departments for ISIS-Mozambique and serve as senior commander and le coordinator for all attacks conducted by group in rrn Mozambique. Omar has been responsible for attacks on Amarula Hotel in Palma, Cabo Delgo Province, Mozambique, and Mtwara Region, Tanzania.

Ar extremist, Sidanag Hitta, aka Abu Qarwaniand Abu Abdelhakim al-Kidali, is a senior leer and commander responsible for Kidal Region in Mali within Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM). Hitta was among group responsible for January 20, 2019, attack on MINUSMA base in Aguelhoc, Kidal Region, Mali. He was also responsible for hosts in Kidal Region. While US ministration informed that Ali Mohamed R aka Ali Dheere, is al-Shabaab’s spokesman and a senior leer of group. He has been involved in attack planning that has targeted areas in Kenya and Somalia. Abdikir Mohamed Abdikir, aka Ikrima, is a facilitator and operational planner. He was an al-Shabaab senior leer and served as He of Operations and Logistics.

US State department furr named Salem ould Breihmatt, also kwn as Abu Hamza al-Shanqitiand Hamza al-Mauritani, is a JNIM senior leer. He is also charged with oversight of JNIM in Burkina Faso and is an explosives expert and instructor. authorities said all properties of se individuals will be blocked and reported to Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). It also warned persons whosoever engd with se designated terrorists would expose mselves to be designated in Global terrorist list. Furrmore, any foreign financial institution that kwingly facilitates a significant financial transaction or provides financial services to persons designated today could be subject to U.S. correspondent account or payable-through account sanctions, ded release.
