9 year old boy enters 5km race, gets lost, accidentally wins 10km race

A 9-year-old boy named Kade Lovell from St. Cloud, Minnesota won a 10 km race accidentally after taking a wrong turn while participating in a 5 km race

A 9-year-old boy named Kade Lovell won a 10 km race accidentally after taking a wrong turn while participating in a 5 km race. The little boy who belongs to St. Cloud, Minnesota reportedly did not even realize that he was running a 10 km race instead of the 5 km once till he reached halfway. On September 21, Lowell participated in a 5 km race. While running, a volunteer misguided him in the wrong way. His mother got worried while waiting for him as the time to finish the race that was shorter. The fourth-grader boy after running the 10 km race by mistake even won it, surprising everybody.

Mother shares the experience on social media

Kade's mother posted his pictures in the form of a collage and wrote about the incident on her Facebook account on September 21. She wrote that she got extremely worried because her son did not return on time after completing the short race. She also wrote that a lot of people went out to look for him.

He was finally found and this is when they realized that he accidentally ran the 10 km race instead of the 5 km one and even won it. The mother cheered for him as he was declared the winner of the 10 km long race. The mother wrote that she is really proud of her son for winning this race.

The boy ran so much for the first time

The boy surprised many people as at such a young age, he did what sometimes even older people are unable to do. While speaking to foreign media, he said that he was confused after he took the wrong turn. He then realized while running what happened after he saw the sign of 10km and also observed everybody around him were adults. He then thought that he will just keep running no matter what and get to the finish line.

According to reports, he never ran this long in his entire life, not even while practising.
