The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Friday tweeted about PM Narendra Modi's upcoming speech at the United Nations General Assembly session in New York. The Twitter account of the PMO urged people to watch his address live. PM Modi has been in New York after the successful mega-event 'Howdy, Modi!' which took place in Houston, Texas. He then came to New York where he has been attending several bilateral meetings and other programs.

Prime Minister Modi will address the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 27. The session is scheduled to begin at 09:00 (New York time), and it will begin with an address from the President of Mauritius Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory. The general debate will be continued by the Vice-President of Indonesia and Prime Minister of Lesotho following which PM Modi will address the General Assembly. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is also scheduled to address the gathering after PM Modi's speech.
What PM Modi is likely to mention in his UNGA address
As per sources among other topics, PM Modi's focus could be on sustainable development and sustaining peace. PM Modi could be highlighting India's commitment to the United Nations' sustainable development goal by talking about the initiatives taken and the future course of action. He might stress on schemes which provide the essential care to Indian citizens. For example, Poshan Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat, Kaushal Vikas Yojna and Ujjwala Yojna have been all launched with a goal to contribute to the overall development of the society.
