Biden weighs in on lack of force, says 'racism protesters would be treated differently'

President-elect Joe Biden on January 8 compared Donald Trump’s supporters who stormed the US Capitol to the Black Lives Matter protests that prevailed in US.

President-elect Joe Biden on January 8 compared Donald Trump’s supporters who stormed US Capitol to Black Lives Matter protests that prevailed across nation last year. Biden accused US authorities of treating pro-Trump protesters more leniently than anti-racism demonstrators who were forcibly dispersed by law enforcement in Washington at same place. 

majorly peaceful demonstrations against racism in United States were subjected to overwhelming use of force, chemical dispersants, rubber bullets over some unruly looters with thousands of arrests. However, re were only dozens of arrests, many weapons were seized along with discovering improvised explosive devices. mob who had entered inside one of most iconic American buildings were escorted by police from premises and some were t even handcuffed.

Weighing in on double standards that have already been voiced by several lawmakers in US, Biden said that racism protesters would have been treated “very differently” had y been in a similar situation. President-elect furr called it “unacceptable”. chaos outside US Capitol Hill left one woman dead of a police gunshot wound and many injured. Even Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation mentioned double standards with use of force in US.

" one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday... y wouldn't have been treated very, very differently than mob of thugs that stormed Capitol," Biden said.

"We all kw that's true, and it is unacceptable,” he added.

Biden says 'don't dare call m protesters'

President-elect Joe Biden lambasted Donald Trump on January 7 as two top Democrats in Congress called for immediate removal of outgoing US President from office even as his tenure ends in nearly 13 days. Following chaos of January 6 when Trump’s supporters stormed US Capitol building as Congress convened to verify Biden’s electoral college votes. People who gared outside federal building smashed doors and broke windows claimed to ‘take house back’.

While Trump’s most senior cabinet members have eir resigned or are discussing his removal, Biden termed day as ‘one of darkest days’ and even refused to ackwledge mob as ‘protesters’. At an event introducing his minee for attorney general, Biden did t address demands off Trump’s removal but called supporters who swarmed building as “domestic terrorists”. Biden also accused Trump of an “all-out assault on institutions of our democracy.”
