United States infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is leing White House's fight against COVID-19 pandemic,said that a verdict on safety and effectiveness of a potential vaccine could come by end of vember. Fauci, while speaking to BBC's Andrew Marr, said that if safety and effectiveness of vaccine is proved by end of vember limited set of doses will be available for frontline workers.

Fauci was answering a question on United States President Donald Trump's remark during latter's final presidential debate, where Republican leer h claimed that a vaccine will be available within weeks to come. "I think we will kw, yes. I believe he said that correctly. We will kw wher a vaccine is safe and effective by end of vember, beginning of December," Fauci said.

'Vaccine won't replace safety measures'

Fauci furr ded that vaccine for mass distribution would t be available for several months into 2021 even if safety and effectiveness are proven by end of this year. He said that number of doses will t certainly be eugh to vaccinate everybody. American government's leing scientist also highlighted that people would still have to follow health and safety protocols put in place by authorities even if vaccine is available by end of year.

Fauci also expressed his concern regarding anti-science propaganda that has been going on in United States ever since pandemic hit country. Fauci said that he fears that anti-science rhetoric would translate into people refusing to take vaccination, which would n affect most vulnerable proportion of American population, particularly mirities.
