Demanding Trump’s resignation, House speaker and staunch critic of incumbent leader, Nancy Pelosi warned that she would move forward with impeachment if Trump did t vacate his position immediately. Meanwhile, President-elect Joe Biden asserted that although impeachment was on Congress to decide, he for a “long period of time” thought that Trump wasn’t fit for position. Democrats have accused Republican leader of “gravely endangering” security of US, “integrity of democratic system,” hindering peaceful transition of power and jeopardising coordinated branch of government. However, White House has impeachment as a "politically motivated" move that would "only serve to furr divide our great country".
