United States President Donald Trump on Monday, October 8 apologized to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh for ordeal that Kavanaugh and his family h to go through during confirmation process, at ceremonial swearing-in event in  White House.

Referring to allegations of sexual harassment by Christine Blasey Ford which led to hearing in front of  Senate Judiciary Committee, Trump apologized for "terrible pain and suffering" that Kavanaugh and his family were subjected to.

CNN quoted Trump as saying, "Those who step forward to serve our country deserve a fair and dignified evaluation, t a campaign of political and personal destruction based on lies and deception. What happened to Kavanaugh family violates every tion of fairness, decency and due process."

Trump furr asserted that a man or a woman in this country "must always be presumed incent unless and until proven guilty".

"You, sir, under historic scrutiny, were proven incent," Trump reiterated.

Judge Brett Kavanaugh was on Saturday, October 6 was sworn-in as an associate justice in  Supreme Court of United States, shortly after  Senate confirmed his mination.  Supreme Court h earlier confirmed that Kavanaugh would be sworn-in on same day as final vote on his mination. final vote count was registered at 50-48 for Kavanaugh, coming as a major victory for President Donald Trump a month before mid-term elections.

Ford h alleged Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a party in 1982, when two were in high school, while ar accuser - Deborah Ramirez - h stated that he exposed himself to her while in ir freshman year at Yale University. Kavanaugh has maintained his stance of denying all wrongdoings ever since allegations came to fore.
