US President Donald Trump has taken pride in assassination of top Iranian military general Qassem Soliemani calling him a 'king of roside bombs' and also criticized former president Barrack Obama for t taking measure against Soleimani. 

"A few days back we killed number one terrorist Qassem Soleimani. Soleimani was king of roside bombs, he loved roside bombs, Soleimani was a designated terrorist but Obama did thing his government only designate him and did thing after that," said Trump in a press conference.

Escalations post Soleimani's assassination 

longstanding tension between Iran and US surfaced again as Iranian General Qassem Soleimani was slain by US in an airstrike near Iraq's Baghd International Airport, ordered by US President Donald Trump.

Following developments, Iran h threatened 'vengeance' and assured retaliation over assassination of Soleimani who was revered by Iranians. Trump said that US would strike 52 sites including sites of historical and cultural prominence in Islamic Republic if any Americans were harmed.

Soon, two airstrikes were reported near US Embassy in Baghd’s Green Zone. A third attack was launched with three Katyusha rockets hitting Baghd’s Green Zone hosting US officials. Iran has been attacking and destroying military bases in Iraq hosting US personnel and has also stated that its aim is t to cause human loss but to destroy military establishments that host US troops.

Alrey sworn enemies, tensions between Iran and US have escalated since n with ar reported incident of an attack, this time on al-Taji military camp rth of Baghd which hosted American soldiers.  Taji camp was targeted by airstrikes against Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU) militias earlier this month.
