Support of Evangelical Christians

Several ories of Evangelical Christians supporting Donald Trump have been floated till date. Recently, Franklin Graham, Christian evangelist and a missionary, dressed thousands of Christians on his tour but never mentioned word “impeachment” while calling for support for Donald Trump.

Earlier in an interview, Graham h warned t to move ahe with impeachment and said, “It’s going to destroy this country if we let this continue”.

Polarization over impeachment

Supporters at garing were concerned about political polarization of country. Before Graham took st to speak to m, Christina Jones, 44, openly called for supporting Trump.

“I do feel like we are, as Christians, first line of defence for president,” said Jones.

She said that US President is supporting ir Christian principles and trying to do his best. Trump has clearly said that impeachment process will make his ties with his voting bloc even stronger than it was earlier.

But comment of US President didn’t go down well with many and y me it clear on Twitter. American author Edward Stetzer tweeted, “Fact check (from someone who has led more than a few research projects on evangelicalism): this is demonstrably and unquestionably false”. Ar American author and journalist David French wrote, “This is a remarkable clip -- remarkably ridiculous. (And of course, it would only be "biggest pastors" who called him.)”
