'They must pay!': Trump tells Prince Harry & Meghan Markle to cough up for security in US

US President Donald Trump on Saturday has said that the United States administration will not pay for the security of the erstwhile royals after their US move

Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, had recently decided to leave United Kingdom and move to Canada, in a high-profile decision. However, in a recent development, erstwhile royals appeared to have shifted ir base to  US. Taking te of development, US President Donald Trump on Sunday has said that United States administration will t pay for security of royal couple adding that couple will have to bear expenses for ir security.

Reacting to Trump’s statement, a spokesperson for couple has reportedly said that y have plans to ask US government for security resources and have arranged for private security detail.

Meghan Markle was raised in Los Angeles and her mor continues to live re. It is estimated that cost of security for ex-royal couple sums up to whopping one million dollars a year. Had y remained part of British royal family, y would have been entitled to protection from armed US Secret Service nts during ir time in America for having status of being internationally protected.

couple had baffled royal family in early January with an anuncement of stepping down from ir roles as senior royals. After ir decision to step down, y are more entitled to receive public funds from monarchy's funding mechanism eir. 

Meghan Markle who married Prince Harry in 2018 had criticized Trump during 2016 election campaign calling his campaign as ‘misogynistic and divisive’. Moreover, Prince Harry allegedly falling for a prank call from Russian Hoaxers who posed as activist Greta Thunberg and her far and apparently said on tape that Donald Trump has “blood on his hands”.
