A week after the US visit of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, senior administration officials in US are avoiding the use of term "reset" to describe the new bonhomie in the bilateral ties

A week after US visit of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, senior administration officials in US are avoiding use of term "reset" to describe new bonhomie in bilateral ties, ting that visit demonstrated that two countries can do more in areas of overlapping interests.

"Reset is a loaded term," a senior State Department official said in response to a question that before visit, a section of media reported that y were seeking a reset of relationship. What I think visit demonstrated that more we work toger in areas of overlapping interests such as peace in Afghanistan, door opens to broader and deeper cooperation," official said.

State Department official added, "I think visit demonstrated that quality, warmth, breadth and depth of relationship is going to be a function of our ability to work toger on most important national security issues."

Obviously, issue was regional stability and peace, official insisted. However, official said re was "more to be done" to grow relationship.
