EAM Jaishankar condoles murder of Texas Sikh officer Sandeep Dhaliwal
EAM, India S Jaishankar extended his condolences to the deceased police officer Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal on Saturday, who died after being shot multiple times.

External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar, has extended his condolences to family of Indian-American Sikh police officer Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal who died after being shot multiple times from behind during a traffic stop in US state of Texas. Harris County Sheriff's deputy was shot while conducting a traffic stop, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. Singh was a 10 year veteran on force, and Harris County's first Sikh deputy. He was in his early 40s.

As news of tragic incident broke out, India's External Affairs Minister took to Twitter and expressed his condolences to slain Sikh officer Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal and his family.

Cold-blooded murder
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Dhaliwal, a 10-year veteran of department, stopped a vehicle with a man and woman inside during a routine traffic stop. One of passengers got out and shot him "ambush-style" at least twice in a "ruthless, cold-blooded way." shooter was seen running to a shopping centre nearby, officials said.
