Mike Pence's appointment to lead US' Coronavirus response heavily criticised

Donald Trump's declared that it would be his Vice President Mike Pence who will lead the White House Coronavirus Taskforce and it being highly criticised.

United States President Donald Trump declared that it would be his Vice President Mike Pence who would le White House Coronavirus Taskforce. At White House conference on February 27, Trump t only said that US has “greatest experts in world” but chose Pence to decide how to contain epidemic that originated in China. However, man who h once claimed as mayor of Indiana, that “smoking doesn't kill”, has been highly criticised for heing country's response to fatal virus which has infected at least 82,000 people in world. 

US health specialists were reportedly outrd by Trump's appointment and called it 'endangering' which ded to criticism of US President's ministration has been facing for handling outbreak in a “chaotic” manner. According to international reports, Pence h me several ill-informed decisions regarding public health throughout his political career and refore, one epidemiology professor compared latest appointment to “putting an arsonist in charge of fire department”.

An assistant professor at Yale University, Gregg Gonsalves posted about how Trump's decision has “endangered” people by putting “someone t up to task” for a “crucial position”. As goverr of Indiana, it was Pence who oversaw reportedly one of worst HIV outbreaks in state's history in 2015.

US President also took a dig on Democrats who were critical about early closing of US borders and said that it was, “too soon”. Moreover, while  death toll of COVID-19 in China has reached 2,715, Trump bragged about USA t having even “one death”.  

According to Trump, matter what Republicans do, Democrats will criticise m for “doing bly”. On or hand, if Coronavirus disappeared, US President said that Democrats would call out Trump ministration for being “incompetent”.

However, he n ded, "it is what it is".  As of February 27, CDC has confirmed 60 positive cases of coronavirus including ones who have been repatriated to US.
