Former Google CEO would love to see Indian-built apps used in US

The former CEO of the American tech giant Google, Eric Schmidt had stated that he would love to see Indian built application being used in the United States

former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of American tech giant Google Eric Schmidt on Monday had stated that he would love to see Indian-built applications being used in America. "I would love to see an Indian built data system for world. That would be biggest win," Schmidt said during an event held here while talking about his expectations from US-India relations.

'US and India as seamless partners'

Expressing optimism over ties between two countries, Schmidts said, "My aspiration is to see connection between US and India as seamless partners. re is definitely potential to achieve that in next five-eight years. question is how we will achieve it."

'Bridgital Nation'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, October 20, unveiled a new book 'Bridgital Nation,' by N Chandrasekaran and Roopa Purushothaman. PM Modi commended efforts of authors and mentioned ethos and relevance of book in current times. Industrialist and former Chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata was also present at launch event.

PM Modi said, "Positivity, creativity and constructive mindset are result of thinking required to solve problems of nation. It is positivity, optimism and confidence on one's talent and resources that induces energy and enthusiasm to lay roots of a New India. I am confident that aspirational India will continue to inspire and will also give a new outlook to society's pessimists."

On importance of techlogy, PM said, " book has come out at a time when techlogy is being viewed as a challenge to India's democratic dividend. In this book, government's vision of 'Binding Techlogy' has been strengned. Techlogy is a bridge and t a divider. It is a talent force multiplier and t a threat. It is a bridge between aspirations and achievement and between demand and delivery."
