Good News: California cafe gives free meals to those in need amid COVID-19 crisis

A California cafe has put together its resources to provide food to everyone in need, from medical professionals to others who are facing monetary troubles.

Amid unprecedented outbreak of deadly coronavirus, small businesses and local companies have taken most severe blow of shutting all operations for several months in a row. While times still remains gloomy and US recently recorded highest spike in daily COVID-19 cases, a California cafe has put toger its resources to provide food to everyone in need, from medical professionals to ors who are facing monetary troubles. Farley’s East cafe in Oakland, California has partnered with a volunteer program called ‘East Bay FeedER’  and are being hailed as “generous dors”. 

According to international media reports, California cafe prepares nearly 200 boxes of turkey, ham and egg salad sandwich to be distributed among homeless people, school-going children and ors. While new cases continue to surge in Bay Area, heartwarming gesture by cafe is playing role of ‘community lifeline’. With unemployment at its peak, re are many families who are struggling day in and out to make ends meet while also taking uncertainty posed by COVID-19 pandemic head-on.

Thai businesswoman starts network of chefs

People across globe are standing up for situation in hand and helping each or. While California cafe is being hailed for feeding needy in Bay Area, Natalie Bin Narkprasert appointed a network of people including Michelin-starred chefs to help Thai people who are facing monetary struggles due to unprecedented outbreak of deadly coronavirus. group called ‘COVID Thailand Aid’ has w reached more than 30,000 people in more than a hundred locations with aid packs along with freshly made food. 

Narkprasert’s initiative was fueled with concern for people in her homeland and according to reports she thought of her own grandmor who is a 94-year-old. She thought how COVID-19 pandemic must be causing troubles for grandmor and also or people in a similar situation or those who do t have ir family at home.
