Greta Thunberg has refused to take air transport as it contributes to carbon emissions leing to climate change. In order to spre awareness among global leers, climate activist chooses to travel by train, boat, and electric car and continue to do so when new venue was anunced.
COP25’s venue shifted to Spain
Greta Thunberg after attending UN summit on Climate change travelled across Atlantic for 14 days by sailing boat. Later, she travelled by train and borrowed an electric car from Arld Schwarzenegger. Initially, COP25 summit was to be held in Chile. But due to violent anti-government protests, venue was shifted to Spain. United Nations me anuncement on vember 1 considering favourable conditions in Spain for event. According to international media, it is expected that 25,000 delegates will participate in event.

Sudden change in venue presents a tough challenge for delegates
According to delegates, sudden change in venue considering only four weeks left for event has raised serious concerns regarding participation of delegates coming from Sourn hemisphere. It is important for all delegates to attend event, in order to have a neutral voice on climate change issue, else re will be a shift of power towards wealthier countries said one of delegates. This is for second time UN has faced difficulty in choosing venue for event. Initially, Brazil was hosting event until Jair Bolsonaro took office.

Thunberg’s post on social media received a mixed reaction. Some people extended ir support while ors suggested her to return to school and study more about air travel.
